Hotsprings spa older 110 v setup one pump.
was working great.
soaking one night jets working great, i turned them off for a minute, then turned them back on and all of a sudden they were weak. only about 20% ????

I unhooked the clamp on the pump to check for debris and nothing, i blasted the pipe out with a hose, hooked everything back up and now its even worse?

help.

Be sure the wier door isn't stuck, and try cleaning your filters, or removing them and placing the cap's back on.

Also, IIRC, if it's around a 2000-2002, you might have a leaky air intake check valve, that will cause the pump to lose prime almost instantly and cause a large pressure drop.


Can you post the serial number?

its a hotsprings soverign not sure of the year the serial # 1a-191090

i put a new filter in and still no pressure, also its a 110 volt plug in kind.

I have a Sovereign with the same problem. It is a 2002 model. Did you find the solution? Is it a Check Valve?

When the pump fires, it initially sounds like it hits full blast for a split second then the pressure immediately drops.

His is a 1999, and doesn't have that pesky check valve problem like the 2002's have.
