| Jet internals - upgrade/replacement |
Wish I could find my patch cable for my camera and upload a couple of pix, but it "got lost" in the move.... " title="Mad" />
I have a new 2005 "Rocky Mountain Spas" (RMS) Shasta. Really only 2 type of jets... tiny 1.5" directionals, and larger 4" face directionals. Number stamped on the back of the face of these 4" jets is: 23545.
I popped the face off to take some measurements of the jet sans face. The diameter of the rear of the jet (part that presses into the body) is 1-13/16". It is approximately 3-3/16" long.
In a call to RMS, all I could get out of them was: "we use all Waterway jets in our tubs." So off I go to Waterway to look for rotos, whirlies, massage type internal replacements.
I find that their 4" face internals look nothing like the back of my internals, and spec out much larger. However, from pictures and limited specs available online, it looks as if their 3" face series of internals look very, very similar to my jets.
I'm guessing Waterway makes a 4" OEM jet for manufacturers only, which is really a smaller 3" series with a larger face?
Wondering if anyone has had success with upgrading generic Waterway jets as I've described?
Thx for the time to respond. |

Continued...
Updating this thread for historical purposes... maybe someone will find it useful.
Many phone calls and googles later, I have found out that my spa is actually manufactured by Infinity Spas out of Tennessee...
This exact same shell and jet configuration (with diff pump and ozonator) is also sold as the Aqua Storm "Solaris". It is also sold on Ebay by Essential Spas as the "Alexandria" with two pumps and almost 2x jets.
After sending Infinity the serial number of the spa, they have located a number of applicable parts.
I also took a chance and ordered a number 3" Waterway "Mini Storm" internals. They would not fit out of the box. Only fit after I pulled the backs off my internals and snapped them onto the face of the Mini Storms did they do fine. |
