Make a hot tub out of a spa
I'm giving up on trying to fix the leak in my Hot Springs Classic 1989 spa. The main leak involves the pipes of the jet pump, I think both the incoming and the outgoing. I could live without the jets and I am thinking of putting a bathtub rubber stopper in the hole of the main return and leave the selector set for that instead of the the other jets since the leak seems to draw the water in the tub down to that return.
I would like to just leave the heater and the circulating pump going and if the above stops the leak enjoy it as a hot tub and foret the spa part of it.
Is it possible to take the pump and the jets and the associated piping out of commission?
