Hello! I have just bought a used 6 year-old 8x8 Cal spa hot tub from a buddy. After two days of running the GE Dually pump motor solenoid? fried. I have since had the motor rebuilt and went to install tonight.

I got everything buttoned up but discovered leaks when I opened the gates. I also have a small male end outlet leaking water (more like spewing) on the left, backside top of motor. What is that thing? It looks like a nipple you would connect a hose to. I do not remember anything hooked up to this end when I took the pump out of the spa. What have I done wrong?

Also, how do I keep the plumbing connections to the heater from leaking. they have a left and right connectors that are plastic clamps. Should I use plumbers tape? There was none on it when I took it apart.

Thermostat: Knob on side of the house, knob on topside control, pushbuttons on topside control, knob on side of heater / controller. 7. Heater Type - Examples: A. Gas B. 2" Stainless Flow Thru, 15" long (2 inch confirmed 15’’ long not confirmed) C. Beer Stein looking thing, has two small hoses. D.
