I have a 2003 Caldera Utopia Geneva spa. Yesterday while draining/cleaning someone (who shall remain anonymous) left the power on while draining it. The water level never reached below the intakes in the floor but did go below the bottom of the filter. The recirculation pump was pumping water. Well after turning off power and cleaning, after restarting the spa the recirculation pump was not pumpming with the bubbles from the ozonator. It is recirculating water, just no ozone.


Any ideas?

It's probably the ozone check valve. Pull the filter out first.

Ok the check valve. First I pull out the filter and then what should I do with the valve to make sure it is the issue?

When I first checked the valve, I noticed there was water on the ozonator side of the valve, not a lot, but definitely some. Is that supposed to happen?

Well, you pull the filter and see if you get the bubbles. If so, soak the filter in filter cleaner.

If that doesn't work you pull off the check valve (with power on) and see if you then get the bubbles. If so, replace the check valve.
