| Safe winterizing Arctic Spa? |
Hi, I am not using my Arctic Spa and it is empty and for sale. I have disconnected the pump and heater and unplugged them, removed the drain plug on the bottom of the pump and drained the pump, ran the air blower until all moisture was blown out of those tubes. However there are some low lying tubes I am concerned about where all the water cannot be drained, one is a 2" pipe running from the pump that lies on the bottom. I assume that these might break if they freeze? Or is it safest to fill the thing and pay the large electric bill just because I have so much money to burn (NOT)? |

Re: Safe winterizing Arctic Spa?
Our product is well-insulated and energy-efficient and shouldn't add a great deal to your bill. But if you can't use it, there is certainly not much point to keeping it running.
While we do advise that you have your local dealer close down your spa, you can find detailed winterizing instructions in the winter 2005 edition of Arctic Splash, our customer newsletter. That specific article is here: http://www.industrymailout.com/Industry/LandingPage.aspx?id=36602&p=1.
I'm sorry that your allergy prevents you from using your spa and I hope you find a buyer soon. |

I agree, it is a very well built and well insulated spa, perhaps the best. However I pay.11/kwh here and it adds up for something I (#%%#!!##!) can't use. It would be preferable to sell it before cold weather. Thanks
