1. Never make a post in a forum using a html editor. You cause problems because your html interferes with mine - and I hate having to fix post formats.
2. Don't put any contact info in a post. Yours has been removed for your own security. If someone wants to contact you they can use the board email function.
enough of that stuff... On to Spa Stuff:
3. Do not purchase ANY PVC fitting for this installation unless it is rated Schedule 40. Somebody's already screwed up by using sorry cheap ass DWV rated couplers on the left side pump attachment. Sometime down the road one of those may come off or outright blow off and you'll end up with a big mess on your hands.
These are pressurized fittings under a highly dynamic load, and using drain fittings is wrong. Enough of that rant.
On to hooking it up.
4. The 2" hoses with the T's in them.
The two T's for the right pump should be connected together.
The single T for the left pump should be connected to the 1/2" rubber hose coming from the 3/4" hose assembly mentioned in item 6 below.
These small hoses help to prevent airlocks in the pumps.
5. The two WHITE flex pvc hoses that are 3/4" are the suction and discharge for the circulation pump/heater. I'm going to post a photo for this below. One line will go into the suction of the circulation pump. The other 'back to the spa' line attaches directly to the next assembly:
6. The 1/2" rubber hose that's attached to the small hose assembly with the flow switch, goes to left pump T.
7. The output of the circulation pump goes to the bottom of the heater mounted on the right side of the control box.
8. The output of the heater goes into the hose assembly in 6 above.
9. The long small hose with no place to go and a lot of extra hose piled up? That goes to your ozone generator. Be sure the little check valve still passes air one way when you blow, and stops when you you know what on the line.
10. Your spa is not plumbed for a blower. Lucky you.
Your air knobs on the top, do have hoses attached to them that wrap around the spa... I can't see where they go, but they should connect to your jets. They control the amount of air that enters the jets.
There are others here that can confirm or tell me where I'm full of it on this, " title="Cool" /> but I think I may be right.... But I'm not 100% sure about the T hoses from the 2" pump lines though.
Charger, Swine, Alacy anyone?

Thank-you for your help--A couple more questions..
First of all---sorry for the HTML some boards are good with it--some aint..
You helped me out a great deal by attaching the 2 pics...I revised my cheap crayon drawn picture and re-attached it how you said it should be hooked up..
My question would be...After the flo-valve--the line (blue) that goes to the left pump--What is it's function? Does the water pressure put a small draw on that side of the spa kinda helping to circulate ALL the water in the spa?
The spa wont be getting filtered unlesss the right pump is running right?
Also..The green line going between the in and out on the right pump...Seems like it would be re-circulating in a small way beings the line is hooked between the in and out of the pump--Then again I am a newbie to spas for sure....
You mentioned it wasnt plumbed for a blower.. I do know all my jets have air lines going to them..plus the air controls on top of the spa... did they just get cheap and not install blowers on certain models?
Can I put one on anyway----gotta have bubbles..
Again-----cant thank ya enough-- |

Notice the line goes to the SUCTION of the large pump. A small amount of water from the circulation pump output is diverted to it to prevent air locks. Yes it does help to circulate water thru that pump to prevent stagnation of the water in those lines between filter cycles.
The spa wont be getting filtered unlesss the right pump is running right?
Yes. The timer on the front of the control box - that's what that's for.
Also..The green line going between the in and out on the right pump...Seems like it would be re-circulating in a small way beings the line is hooked between the in and out of the pump--Then again I am a newbie to spas for sure....
Again, to prevent air locks.
You mentioned it wasnt plumbed for a blower.. I do know all my jets have air lines going to them..plus the air controls on top of the spa... did they just get cheap and not install blowers on certain models?
The air lines from your jets should be going to the adjustable knobs next to the topside control panel, and terminate there. And no, not really, your spa got two pumps instead of a pump and a blower. Larger spas (and more expensive) will get that plus larger controller, a blower, and blower plumbing.
Can I put one on anyway----gotta have bubbles..
You get bubbles from the jets. I don't recommend in any way attempting to install a blower on this. You would need to drill a lot of holes in the shell and run new plumbing for the air injectors. Then you would need to add a new electrical circuit for the blower since your auxillary circuit is used by the left pump.
The arrows in the diagram on the blue line going to the left pump need to be flipped around. |
