| Vita Spa DX Plumbing pictures/diagram and questions please help if you can |
I was given a 3-4 person vita spa dx that was not winterized, I filled it up and found two leaks I can see such far, one spraying from the pump I guess which leads to a gate valve, then another one at the other side gate valve. It looks like maybe it is missing a blower unit also is that optional?
Does anyone have a diagram of the plumbing and or pictures?
Do I have to replace the whole pump or can it be rebuilt somehow?
Any tips advise or ideas how to get this old thing working would be greatly appreciated. model number is # pibjd305sig.
Thank you for any help you can provide or tips and tricks

Well I'm no expert, infact i'm rebuilding one as we speak. But I have been doing quite a bit of reading and I'll help what little I can.
To your second question, I believe the pump CAN be rebuilt. I've seen all sorts of parts for them for sale online. I guess its just a question of your comfort tearing apart your pump.
If I understand correctly, the blower IS optional...but it really cuts down on your "bubbly-bubbly" but if you have plumbing for a blower I've read the water can get rather stagnant in it. But Blowers are pretty cheap, I've seen them for less than 100 bucks, so replacing it is pretty simple.
Hope that helps... And Good luck! |
