Washcloth sucked into intake
I have a "jacuzzi like" bath tub. I don't know the make or model as there are no markings on the tub. I removed the water intake cover for cleaning. My wife subsequently took a bath and a washcloth was sucked into the water intake port.
1) Is there generally a filter of some sort at the water pump itself such that the washcloth would stop before actually entering the pump? I have no access panel. The tub and all panels are sealed. I tried using a plumbers snake to see if I could snag the washcloth without success. The pipe makes a right angle turn almost immediately. The snake stops about 24 inches down the pipe. I am not sure if it is stopping at the washcloth, an angle joint, or the pump.
2) Is the pump generally located under the start/stop button?
3) Any suggestions for removing a washcloth?
Thanks! Rob

Re: Washcloth sucked into intake
Unfortunately, many contractors have no clue when it comes to installing jetted bath tubs. Basically, you have a car, with the hood welded shut. The washcloth will be right at the intake of the pump, which is located where ever the tub manufacturer choose to put it.
