| 220V Spa Pack New Pump 220V but Spa pack only 115 for Pump |
Hi everybody..
We just bought a new Pump for our Spa (last year converted from heat exchanger to spa pack)
Our Spa pack is 220V, however with out checking I found the old pump was only 115V (ran fine but was old), so when i bought the new pump I bought a 220V pump..which of course is not working (runs slightly on low, flutuated on off on high)
So Can I rewire my Spa pack to us a 220V pump or should I buy another new pump? |

There should be a white wire coming from the internal pump plug in the spa control. It needs to be removed from the circuit board or relay or whatever it is connected to.
You need to connect that directly to L2 input power (Red line normally).
So instead of having a neutral (white) common for the pump, you'll have an L2 (red) common for the pump. This will give you the 220 you need. |
