| Brett Aqualine EM203T high speed pump not functional |
Well, I gotta tell ya this tub is probably older than my grandma...but I still really like it's simplicity and general function.
My symptoms are basically no high speed jet pump action when the "one" button is pushed.
The heater still heats - on low speed - and the small Kirby vacuum cleaner motor still creates bubbles (effervescence maybe), but no high speed.
I can hear a distinctive clicking as I cycle thru the "one" button, but it hasn't worked for about six months now and I can't remember which button press turns on the high speed only...
My tub has slowly turned into a science project..noticed a frog in there the other day. Funny thing is, I am still using it since it's always nice and hot, but it sometimes smells really foul...
Here's some more details:
Brett Aqualine Model EM203T
Cat Number 25-2350T-1-UL
Voltage - shockingly high...probably 110
I also had my electrician look at it today, and after some colorful language, all he could say is that it appeard to be broken.
Can you please help me? Is there a chance I don't have to be embarassed anymore when I have guests over and they want to sit in the "bathtub" without jets? Somtimes I don't like to see my guests legs...
Thanks in advance.

yes, it is for real.
I just wanted to throw a little humor into a bad situation. I do indeed have guests arriving in a few weeks, so any tips would be greatly appreciated.
thanks again. |

Ok, just wanted to be sure. It could be your cam switch, which could still make noise but not actually rotate when the button is pressed. There are two types. Bellows type cam switch where literally a bellow inside the switch turns the cam, and the second is electric. The electric uses a solenoid to turn the cam switch. Either model can become jammed where it will make noise but not extend enough to cycle the tub. Usually a good squirt of wd-40 can get them going again, if not, replacement is necessary. |
