| Circulation Pump |
I have a blue ridge spa that I would like to replace the Laing circ pump with a Iron Mite Pump. Mounting, Plumbing, and Wiring seem simple enough, just wonder if the Iron Mite greater gph flow will cause any problems :" title="Question" /> |

Way way too much gph (~2400 GPH), as opposed to a grundfos around 500.
With the iron mite you'll have way too much pressure, enough to blow the hoses off...

Is the grundfos pump a shaft driven pump or is it a magnetic drive like the laing? What is the durability of the grundfos pump like? Thanks for the help! |

Shaft.
Reliability is longer given similar circumstances.
I've replaced lots of these things with Grundfos.
Photo shows one I did last week. Previous pump was installed the same way - upside down and works fine.
