I have a Hot Springs Sovereign 1989 or so and the circulation pump has stopped. It was a Teel IP56?. I need to find a replacement and am looking at a Laing 65 watt 1/30-1/50 hp model. Is this appropriate for this application and are there any other models that would be sufficient ?

check the very bottom of this parts page. http://scarritt.com/hotspringparts1.htm You'll use your existing cord for the pump and the existing wet end. It's ok to clamp the hoses flat while changing out the pump.

That doesnt help me as i dont have the "wet end " they require.My pump is a teel as i mentioned above. I dont imagine it could be the same.Thx anyways

it comes with a wet end. But it's easier to use the existing one in the spa due to the way it's plumbed in. We change 'em out with the water in the spa, losing very little.
your plumbing to the suction side of the circ pump is 1/2." It's also 1/2" going to the heater. The new pump has a 3/4" suction and discharge as do all the new silentflo circ. pumps. That's why I suggested using your existing wet end if was the same as the laing, which I beleive it is.
you can always "bushing" up to 3/4"
