Hot Spot SLX low speed doesn't work but high speed does
I have a Hot Spot SLX (Model: YQ). The tub is not heating/filtering. When i push the button, low speed pump does not turn on, but if i push the pump button again, the high speed pump works. i'm not sure if the issue is an electrical one or a mechanical one (It looks like it's a two stage pump).
Any help is appreciated.

Do you have a serial number? Do you hear anything at all when pushing the button to go into low speed? Any noise like a relay clicking? Does the pump make any noise?

Re: Hot Spot SLX low speed doesn't work but high speed does
Thanks for the response.
The serial number is: YQ281072
The relay does click when I push the button. The pump makes no sound at all.
For the high speed I hear the click, the pump goes on and everything seems to work.
Thanks again for the reply.

Re: Hot Spot SLX low speed doesn't work but high speed does
OK - 1998 model. Test voltage at the low speed connection on the circuit board to see if the board is sending power to the pump (check across P14 & P17). If it is sending power then you may have a bad starter cap on the pump. Take it to a local pump repair business. If it's not sending power and you have hit the button and heard the click then you have a bad low speed relay. They are not replaceable as they are soldered on the circuit board. You could try to tap the relay with a screwdriver in case it's stuck (this rarely works). This relay is to the right of the P30 connection.
Good Luck
