Pump Size
The pump in our spa was making noise and I decided to replace it. I took it to a local spa place to have them look at the pump. They recomended that I replace it so they ordered me a new pump. When it arrived I noticed that it was a 5HP pump. The original was 2.5 HP. The RPM rateing is the same. They tell me it will not be a problem. I am uncertain and need to know can I replace the 2.5 HP with a 5HP?

Re: Pump Size
If it's a true 5 hp I wouldn't use it. The pump could be a 2.5 hp but the sticker may be showing Brake HP (BHP). There should be something that shows Continuous HP.
