Trying to install a used Cal Spa
I picked up a 1993 8X8 Cal Spa VIP Special. I don't think it has run in at least a year, and I don't know it's history other than I got it free when my friend moved in to her house. I ran all my power lines and my GFCI box, got the tub hooked up. I filled it up with water also so I wouldn't run the pump dry. Now all I can get to work is the green light in the water.
I know it is going to need at least a heater element, the one in it is toast. I also know I have a few pipe leaks I need to fix, that shouldn't be to terribly hard. I have checked under the control box, and it is putting out plenty of power to the pump. Any suggestions on how to make it work? Test parts? Should I replace parts? I am completely new to hot tubs, but I work on things, and am a quick learner.
