circulation pump losing power (flow)?
Can a circulation pump lose power? I was always under the impression electric motors just work or they don't. Here is the situation:
Circulation pump runs, make no strange noises and does not leak. But starting a few weeks ago, the flow error occurs when I replace the microfilter. Obviously this causes the heater to kick off. The pump is still circulating and I can visually see the flow sensor "trip" when I put the filter in place. I remove the filter, or even the cap, and the flow sensor resets and the flow error message goes away and everything is good.
I took the circulation pump out tonight and took about the wet end and everything seems fine to my untrained eye. What is my next step?
Edit: I should mention the dealer replaced my flow sensor right before all this started happening. From reading the posts, could he have adjusted it incorrectly?
