disconnecting impeller from motor
Can not Disassemble motor from wet end The seals were leaking on my (Hot Springs Jetsetter) Watkins Wavemaster 5000 1.5 Hp Jet Pump. So I bought new seals. I took apart the motor as far as I could, but I still can not disconnect my impeller from the pump. Anyone have the answer to this puzzle. I am sure it will be one of those "well of course" moments. Re: disconnecting impeller from motor
I use a pretty beefy pair of vise-grips on the part of the shaft that is exposed between the wet end and the motor. Then the impeller unscrews from the shaft.
If the seal has been leaking for a long time and there is a lot of corrosion then it may not come off without breaking.

Re: disconnecting impeller from motor
Be careful and try your best to get the impeller off - the manufacturer doesn't part out the impeller on the wave 5000. You might find one online though.
