help!!!!! my wifes on my back to get the tub done

I have a 8’X 8’ unknown spa I think it maybe a morgon.
The way the tub is plumbed is for one pump (no circ pump)
It has a pressure top load filter. The spa pack I have for it is a
Air button Morgan 220 volt with a single pump, air blower, heater and a plug for a ozonator
The tub has about 12 jets. 9 of them being the assorted waterway poly jets 3 ½ - 4 ½ size,
2 waterway neck jets and 1 large waterway jumbo jet about 7 inches across.
The spa pack isn’t original and did not come hooked up.
The pump is a magnatec 1.5 hp with what looks to me as a 1.5 inlet and outlet.
The plumbimg that hooks to the pump that is on the tub is 1.5 flex in and out.
So my question is with the 12 jets listed. Is this pump (1.5 hp) going to be sufficient
for the tub? And if not. What size pump would work well? Should I up the pump size or add a second pump?
Thanks

how you hook it up depends more on the fittings coming from the jets and suctions more than anything else.

It appears you don't have a blower channel, so the blower is out.

If you only have a single suction and discharge pvc fitting for all this, including the jumbo jet, then you'll need a 2hp pump to run it all satisfactorily, (but you can always go ahead and hook it up to see how it works with the small aqua-flo fmcp pump you have now).

Otherwise, if you have two suctions and two discharge fittings then you'll have to add another pump anyway.

Hi thanks for the info.
The blower is there and the pvc that runs from the tub to the blower
has came undone from the tub. Im going to glue it back in. the tub has a internal channel for the blower air and tons of small holes around the inside of the tub.
There is only one inlet and one outlet for the pump. And there isnt any
circulation pluming circut. So only one pump was used originaly. Unless some one did some pluming.
Would it be better to use a bigger pump or to use 2 pumps if i used 2 pumps wouldnt i have to do some plumbing? The spa pack has one plug for the pump and its 2 speed.
Check out the attachmentit shows the plumbing the tub has now.

You should try to operate it with what you have first.

This can be accomplished in less than three hours (not including filling it with water where it stands now).

Just hook the thing up. Be sure that there's a way to prevent water from backing up into the blower... either a loop within the plumbing attached to the spa and/or a check valve and/or running a pvc loop above the water line.

See if what you've already got works first... then make plans for expansion to multiple pump stuff later if it doesn't work the way you want.

Sounds good to me
The whole 1/4 hp per jet ive seen throught the internet has me worried.
one question? is it ok to fill it up with water setting on the foot well alone
with no cabnet around it.
Dont want it to fall over or the tub to break.

Better late than never.

Hmm. 1/4 HP per jet? That is fools advice. (A load of shit).

Perhaps this comes from some 1982 hot tub magazine.

Jets are typically rated like this
Low action: 4GPM
Med Action: 7 GPM
High Action: 12 GPM

So, 10 jets for 7 GPM providing a medium 'action' performance level means you need a pump capable of providing 70 gpm. Most 1 HP pumps will do this and more.

Additionally, yes, a tub will stand up to free-standing fill up. Just be sure you've got some support mechanism (like 2x4's or 2x2's or 4x4's) on the corners to stop it from tipping over.
