pump leaks
I am new to spa work, but have experience in plumbing and electrical work. I have a Catalina spa with 5 hp Magnetek pump. Last week I discovered my spa had drained almost completely. I refilled it and discovered pump leaking between the motor and wet end. The pump motor still seemed to work. Can I just replace the seal or do I need to replace wet end or whole pump? The spa is about 7 1/2 years old. The water was leaking even when pump motor was off.

Yep- just replace the shaft-seal. If you damage the impellor removing it- replace it too.
