20 year old Regency Spa with Nemco System Fire and burn out - Replaced all spa equipment.
http://spapartsnet.com/p_Spa-Packs--Controls_SPDACCD1_621_1_1.html This tub could have burned down the owners house. It was connected directly with a 60 amp main panel breaker. It was (supposedly) protected by an internal 50 amp Leviton GFCI, (separate enclosure under tub that is not shown) but when those things die after a few years, they don't and won't TRIP! Built in GFCI's into Spa Control systems are a VERY BAD IDEA. This is the proof.
Ask yourself this question... if you have one of these 'built in' GFCI's in your spa control system, when is the last time you checked it with the test button?
Thanks.
I'll trust a Siemens or other brand breaker box style GFCI over ANY built in Leviton 50 amp GFCI any day.

There is nothing better than an ACC spa control system for your hot tub.
