2007 Spa Builders AP-4 Continuous Heating to 104
Symptom - Topside unit (Len Gordon 4 button 240v) heat setting will not go below 104 inconsistently. If I shut the breaker off and back on and set the temp to 90 the display changes back correctly to the thermometer reading. After 5 minutes the heat setting jumps back to 104. When I attempt to decrease the temp setting it won't allow me to go down any more then 103 or 102, then when after a few seconds it jumps back to 104. Note, this is the temperature setting, not the thermometer reading.
I tested control panel thermostat for continuity and contactors for play which all looks correct to me. I spoke with the spa builder and they agreed that is sounds like a faulty topside. I wanted to post here to see if there are other areas I can check to verify before I buy a $235 topside.
thanks in advance!
