Blue Ridge Spa - United Spa 3A unit

Hey guys. I'm having an interesting problem, that might just be user error/stupidity.

I just got this hot tub free off of craigslist(Blue Ridge Spa control module United Spa 3A) and it's work like a champ since i had it hooked up two weeks ago. the only problem it has is the low speed jets seem to be stuck on. I thought it was just a timer problem and reprogrammed the timer but they still stay on. if you push the air button and hold it, they stay off, but as soon as the button comes back up, they turn back on. anyone have any ideas? i need to be able to leave the master circuit breaker on(currently my on/off switch) so the water can circulate and stay heated.

any help is very welcome!

thanks
-mike

I would think the air switch is bad.

Re: Blue Ridge Spa - United Spa 3A unit

are they repairable? or does it need to be replaced?

Re: Blue Ridge Spa - United Spa 3A unit

It needs to be replaced. Be careful when you get one. They have 2 different ones that look identical. Do you push the button just once and get high speed only? Or does the button make it go to low speed then high speed with 2 pushes?

Re: Blue Ridge Spa - United Spa 3A unit

You need to see how many air switches it has in the control box and figure which one is the low speed. Usually one switch does both.
I'm not sure which one you need, momentary or non-momentary.

Good Luck

Re: Blue Ridge Spa - United Spa 3A unit

no, its definitely one for each. i took off the access hatch to the side of the tub AND the face panel of the heater/control main box and there are three seperate air hoses going into three seperate switches.

now, about changing them. recommendations on where to get a replacement?
