" title="Confused" /> " title="Arrow" /> Hi - a bit confused - purchased a used Leisur Bay model 1002 from 1998 with two buttons on top and two dials. No book, of course and no information. We can get the jets to work and the intensity with the buttons and the left dial. What is the right dial for and how long should it take to start warming up?
Thank you!

LBI 10-2
Hi rtlilly,
The Leisure Bay 10-2 has a 110v (non convertable) operated equipment pack. The pump is a 1 horse 2 speed pump, and the turbo air blower is also 1 horse. The spa should heat up 2-3 degrees an hour, with a capacity of 1.5 kw element. The topside consists of two air transmitters, and two air control valves. The air transmitters turn on and off the pump, and blower. The air control valves allow the jets to draft in air. The left, and right side of the jets respectively are controlled by the air control valves. If only one side is "airing up" then the jet internals may be worn out, or loose. The control box should have a built in GFCI, a high limit reset, and a continious run toggle to bypass the thermostat call for low speed. There is also a "heater on" indicator light at the top of the control box. If you experience a no heat situation in the future where the pump runs to heat, but the light for heat does not come on, then remove your filter, and re check the light. This model is notorious for not heating on a dirty filter.
All in all I like the LBI 10's
Have fun with it! " title="Wink" /> |
