| Inoperable Blower Question |
I have a 1997 Vita-Spa Elan that I recently purchased and moved to my house. The spa had to be turned on it's side during shipping. After I set the spa down on it's freshly poured slab, I hooked up my 220V circuit to it, and everything worked fine. I shut it down, came back the next evening and turned it on again and the blower was expelling bubbles from the finger massage jets for about 5 minutes, then it stopped working. I turned the main power off and on again and now the blower functions don't work at all. The control is supposed to have (4) settings, one is low speed, two is just the blower, three is high speed, and four is high speed with blowers I think. I pulled the cover off the side of the spa where the blower is located and cycled through the controls and it is not turning on or spinning at all. Could I have gotten water inside the blower during transportation allowing it to only run a couple of times and then malfunctioning, or is the motor just bad? Also, there is (1) jet from the second pump that doesn't work. All other jets on that side of the tub controlled by that pump work. Any suggestions? Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

The blower is indeed likely to be bad due to the transport. To check, you can run the blower directly from house power to see if it cycles. The inoperable jet is an independant problem and could be caused from a blockage, or if it is an adjustable jet, it may be off. |
