Sundance 701 location of blower motor
I recently picked up a Sundance 701 Spa on eBay for $600.00. I’ve got everything working except the air pump. Every time I turn the air pump on it plows the GFI breaker. I had to put the spa on its side to transport it and I’m guessing I got water in the motor. Could you tell me were the pump is located? I could just follow the wire but I only want to remove as little of the insulation as necessary.
Thanks,
Bill

The blower motor isn't like the pump. What you will look for is a canister about 8" in diameter, and about a foot long. It may be vertically or horizontally mounted. You will have one 2" pipe going to it. It shouldn't be shrouded in insulation, as it needs air to get to it. It may be behind one of the side panels.

I found my air pump!
Behind the control box and water pump there is an air vent. I removed the cover to the air vent (it was glued on so I had to break it) and found a piece of flex pipe that went in about 1 foot then bent to the left.
After taking the panels off the left side of the tub and removing some of the insulation I found an air line and followed it. Unfortunately I followed the line towards the back of the tub only to find nothing. I then followed the line towards the front of the tub and finally found the pump.
It is a metal box 9” x 11” built into the frame of the skirt just to the left of the utility cabinet (where the water pump is). To get at it you must remove the front skirt plus approximately 1/8 insulation.
