| 2004 Hydrospa, Balbao controller, Pump Noise and error code |
Came home from a weekend away to be told by my son that the tub had 'gone dead'. They had spent four hours in it!!!
The water level had gone down by four inches.
It turned out that the main trip had blown.
When I turned it back on the tub came back to life ok apart from two things. 1: The top side controller back-light didn't come on; and 2: The circulation pump runs ok but when I selected full speed the pump makes an awful 'stalling' sound and after a few seconds the display shows error 'FLO'.
The tub underwater light comes on ok and the pump that pushes air up through the water works ok. The heater works ok.
Can anyone throw any light onto my problem? |

Re: 2004 Hydrospa, Balbao controller, Pump Noise and error code
Digging around online could it be the flow rate switch? I'm thinking that if the pump works ok when heating/circulating and makes the noise at full rate it could be because the FR switch is not letting the correct amount of water into the pump?
I'm assuming that the FR switch is a kind of water-valve... but I'm probably wrong.
I can still use the tub as long as I don't touch the full rate switch (Jets1).
Where would I find the Flow Rate Switch and what does it look like?
I've attached some pictures if it helps.

Anyone know where the Flow Rate Switch is on a Hydrospa tub? or at least give me a clue where to start looking? |
