| Dimension one low speed pump fix |
I just thought I would post this rather interesting fix I did last night. Please excuse me if this has been posted already, for I have not searched the archives.
So, I have a Dimesion one (D1) hot tub which uses the crystal pure ozone system. It has a low speed pump which runs continuously. The pump pushes air through the OZone and out to an air-stone.
My pump was running quite loud and was in need of replacement, so I checked for prices. The cheapest I could find was $180. Keep in mind that this is a small air pump, $180 " title="Very Happy" /> just sounds rediculous.
So how did I fix it for $20? 1) go to walmart and buy a "whisper" fish tank pump for a 30 - 150 gallon fish tank. 2) cut the cord and splice to the wires for the old pump. 3) remove old pump and replace with the whisper. - thats it, and its works the same or better. Plus its quiter, because it is insulated much better for noise.
I hope this helps others!! " title="Very Happy" />
