| Dimension one spa 3 flashing LED |
My 2001 Dimension One Spa has quit heating. 3 LED lights flash and the following error is displayed:
"Check the water level and clean the filters. If the problem continues, turn off power and restart the system - otherwise, call for service."
The filters are perfect. The water level is perfect. It did this for about a week and then it "fixed itself." 2 days later it started again. It has not heated for the past 2 weeks and the error message is a constant.
Jets 1 and 2 function properly at both low and high speed. The small flow pump that normally operates steadily while heating, cycles 10 seconds on and 10 seconds off all the time, but is not heating at all.
Please help.
Thanks,

Re: Dimension one spa 3 flashing LED
looks just like my spa. Have you checked the heater to see if it is within specs? My circ pump pretty much runs constantly FWIW. Call Phil
at Easy Spa Parts in CA. They are the designated D1 part supplier and are very helpful'

Re: Dimension one spa 3 flashing LED
This in very much like a stuck flow or pressure switch and usually will be resolved by replacing the part.
Good Luck. |

Flow switch is that round green thing sticking out of the plastic tubing just to the right of the control box. You can test to see if its ok by disconnecting it at the board and jumpering the pins on the board it connects to. If everything goes back to normal flow switch is probably bad. If nothing changes its something else. Flow switch is around $20. Unusual problem, I don't think its the flow switch. Did you call EZ Spa PArts like I suggested yet?

Re: Dimension one spa 3 flashing LED
I have the same exact problem.
I wonder if you were able to fix your.
Please can someone help me with this one?
I know the flow sensor works. The recirculation pump works as well.
It used to be able to reset it by turning the power off then on but it’s getting harder to reset it everyday.

Re: Dimension one spa 3 flashing LED
Just a follow up on the above problem, I started suspecting it’s the circulation pump that is creating the problem. Apparently when the circulation pump (and the Ozone) stops to cool off when the water temperature exceeds by 2 degrees the preset temperature on hot summer day, it seems to struggle in order to start again when the water temperature reaches its safe temperature. If the pump fails to start after multiple attempts, the system shuts down. The pump may be started later when things cool off but the system remains locked which make you think it’s the flow sensor that is not working properly. The system seems to reset itself by de-powering it and waiting for long while before powering it again. It’s interesting that in a cool season where the circulation pump doesn’t need to stop, it works continuously with no problem other than its vibrating noise that comes and goes. Apparently, the problem inside the pump is caused by the free impeller rotor that can be replaced separately. It’s about $103 or the whole pump will cost about $200. I will appreciate any suggestion and will let you know how all goes. Joe, |

As I suspected, the circulation pump was creating the problem. It’s supposed to stop when the water temperature exceeds the preset one by a couple degrees. Apparently, the pump was struggling to restart when the temperature went down and sometimes failed to start which triggered the error warning.
I replaced it with a newer 30% more efficient model ($146) and it works perfectly now.
