| Silentflow 5002 |
Im replacing my circulation pump in my Hotsprings landmark model s, well when i orded my new pump i sat the old pump in the garage and my wife decided that since it was bad it needed to be thrown away, well the cord was still attached and now that i have a new cord i have no clue where the red/black/green and white wires go! my circulation pump is the silent flo5002.
Thanks for your time |

Re: Silentflow 5002
Green to ground, white to white terminal on the pump, black to the other terminal on the pump, the red to the terminal that is located up in the cap is how I think it goes. |

Re: Silentflow 5002
Well i wired it the way you said and its making the sound of water moving thru the pipes but no flow is returning from the bottom of the tub, the pump will also start to make a squeking noise if left on for a few minutes. i tried to prime it with a toilet plunger but it still is not moving water to the return on the bottom of the tub. |

Re: Silentflow 5002
I'm pretty sure Dan is correct on the hook up (red to the cap terminal) - you probably have an air lock in the pump - take off the hose on the outlet of the pump (make sure power to the spa is off) and let some water push the air out (just 2 or 3 seconds) - see what happens.
We usually use the single speed circ pump and don't use the red wire. |

Yeah, that's the other thing but i wasn't sure. I think the 5002's were only used in some 93-94 or so Tiger River spas. If someone put a 5002 circ pump in your landmark at some point then they may not have had a 5000 and put a 5002 in yours and didn't use the extra red wire.
At any rate, as Petey said it's probably an air-lock problem, but make sure you don't have the low speed hooked up on a tub that normally uses just the regular high speed.

Re: Silentflow 5002
They did use the 2 speed pump in older Landmark, Highlife and maybe the Grandee. |

Re: Silentflow 5002
Yeah it was air locked thanks. now im trying to figure out why the heater is not working. i verified the flow switch is in the correct direction and you can here a relay clicking when it is turned the correct direction. but i am only getting 20v or so out of the control box to the heater. |

Re: Silentflow 5002
well narrowed it down to the relay for the heater, swapped it with the relay for the pump and now the heater works but not the pump. " title="Very Happy" /> |
