1998 Marquis-Balboa Circuit Board Replacement

I just had an electrician tell me that this is what is wrong with my hot tub.
1st I replaced one of the motors----ran for a few minutes and then just stopped. So I sought professional help...Now that this is what I'm told needs to be replaced....should I just change the Circuit Board (looks like the part is going to be $355)or should I change the whole pack...and if I should change the whole pack..how do I find one that doesn't include a new motor as I just bought one?

So if you power up the spa now it will run the pump for a few minutes and then quit?

Or does it just do nothing?

nothing. now nothing at all.....before this guy touched it, at least the panel lit up to say that the water was 43 degrees. now that's gone, too

Well a $15 test beats a $400+ one any day.

Sounds like the main fuse has blown in the controller. It is what feeds the pump - if it blows, normally you will lose all power to the control system (Balboa units).

It's either an SC-20, or SC-30 time delay fuse.
