Temp countdown and then flashes on Sundance Sentry 800 control

I have a Sundance with the 800 contols. When you first turn it on the left side of the control panel works but the jets button turns on the light. The light and air buttons do nothing. Then after a couple minutes it starts counting down from 108 to like 101 then flashes a couple times and then repeats. Getting faster and faster. Then it finally just starts flashing the display and lights rapidly. I am trying to figure out if it is the controls or the circuit board.

Can I just unplug the cable from the board and see if it works? Or does it have to have something hooked up?

It is staying running now. But the right side of the control does not work. No jets or air.
