| 96 HERCULES SPA HAD SN1 CODE AND NOW HAS OTHER ISSUES HELP!! |
Hello all and thank you for taking a look and hopefully someone can help me. It all started with me wanting to go into my spa and when I did I had a sn1 code error on my digital command center that is installed in my 1996 Hercules siesta spa {all original parts or replaced with parts from my local dealer} so I closed the lid and waited till morning to deal with my problem " title="Sad" />.
Upon waking I eagerly went and turned the power off and on expecting that this might reset it and perform a miracle but only with much disappointment. I then decided to turn the power off and let it stay off for a while with still the same results " title="Confused" />.
I decided to wait until the evening and do some research, I quickly learned that the S N 1 SIDE CODE meant that I had a hi limit sensor issue so I went ahead and pulled the cover off of the power pack. I seen the read button to reset it and pushed it in and then there was the miracle the sn1 code went away and the temperature reading came on and then I heard a click of the relay and with much hope seen the heater light come on and well I thought for a moment that I had once again outdone myself and had proven to be a man's man " title="Razz" />.
The light turned off and I scratched my head for a second before I noticed that I had to turn the temperature up and so I did and then I heard this sound like there was a freaking monster rumbling from the bellows of my spa and just as it sounded like something was going to blow it dawned upon my slow reacting brain {should have listened to my parents while in high school " title="Rolling Eyes" /> } that I must pull the quick disconnect for the power and so I did!!! " title="Shocked" />
I pondered my next move and then I turned the power on and wala I was back up and running so I started to test things first the air jet button and yes works well next the light and yes came on and then the jet button and the pump came on high {DIDN'T REALIZE ANYTHING WAS WRONG WITH MY LAST MOVE BU WOULD LEARN LATER} so I figured I would turn my timer on and that caused my pump to come on low next I turned my heater on and I let it heat up 5 degree's. Now I am sure that I have managed to fix this spa once again and I am feeling like the beast of a man that I am suppose to come into the house and declare to the family that the spa is FIXED. Well next I set the timer to the correct time and this caused the pump to turn off and then the heater started the volcano rupturing like sound sending me dashing for the spa disconnect box again.
So know I have this spa and I recently replaced the top and the heater but I also have a extra command center and circuit board that I bought used and have never tried the command center so I hooked it up and have the same symptoms but I want to get some advise before trying the other circuit board because it looks like it has a burnt relay.
SO IT APPEARS THAT MY SPA WORK'S FINE WHEN THE TIMER CONTROLS THE MOTOR ON THE LOW SPEED SETTING BUT ONCE THE TIMER IS NO LONGER TELLING THE MOTOR TO CYCLE IT SEEMS THAT WHEN THE COMMAND CENTER TELL'S THE PUMP TO TURN ON FOR THE HEAT THAT IT DOESN'T TURN THE MOTOR ON AND YES I EVEN JUMPED THE PRESSURE SWITCHED AND MADE SURE THAT A FLO SIDE ERROR CODE WOULD SHOW UP TO. Please advise because I cant figure out my next move!!! And thank you for your time |

Re: 96 HERCULES SPA HAD SN1 CODE AND NOW HAS OTHER ISSUES HELP!!
If your pressure switch was working AND the circuit board was calling for the pump to come on low but it wasn't working, you'd get a flo error. Either the switch isn't calibrated or you've got a relay that's getting stuck, and it would be strange for that to happen on two circuit boards.
To calibrate the switch turn the pump on low with a clean filter, turn the adjustment on the switch clockwise until you get a flo error, then turn it counter clockwise 1/4 turn. |
