Balboa 2000LE 114 deg f
I had a problem with my hot tub. The problem was that the temp got up two 114 deg f before I shut it down. That is what the top panel was reading. I know it was right because I have a temp gun and it was right. I had the tub set to 101 deg but it never turned off. I have drained it for the winter maybe. I would like to fix it. I have found two sensors on the heater tube one is the psi switch and the other one is the hi-limit sensor. (I think) The board is part number 54161 the part number on the psi sensor is 30512. The other sensor part number is 30382. If this is the hi-limit sensor where is the temp sensor and what could be the problem with it. I havent replaced anything yet any help would be great.

If the temp sensor for the board is reading properly then you have a relay getting stuck on the board itself.

Re: Balboa 2000LE 114 deg f
Is there a certin one that is messed up can you change them? Or do I have to replace the circuit board? I have found a board online for around $200. Also found a new balboa spa pack like I have for around $300. Mice at one time lived in the spa pack for awhile it was out in the country in the middle of no where before it was always running though. When my mom had it she didnt have a problem with it until they didnt winterize it right. " title="Very Happy" /> That is how I got my hands on it. About 18 hours chipping and fixing frozen main line and I have a great tub. Besides the temp problem.

It is possible to replace a relay, but unless you can trace it and replace it yourself I'd spring for the new board. You'd end up spending half the price of the new board on the new relay + labor and it will be 10x the hassle.

Where is a good place to get good quality board without getting ripped off?
