Balboa vs501z circulating pump control
I have figured out my pump runs on a filter cycle for about 6hrs. Then shuts off and temp is at set temp. When a call for heat is there the pump does not auto start. Then the the unit goes to HH over temp code. I have no blockages or flow problems it is a definate control problem. Can I set the pump to run continously. I certainly have not been able to find anything the tell me how. I am considering just hooking the pump direct to the supply and forget about the high speed function. Thanks Tom

Re: Balboa vs501z circulating pump control
Is this a problem with a new pack or something that just started happening? You might be able to wire your low speed into the circ pump line and then turn on the dip switch for the circ pump?

Re: Balboa vs501z circulating pump control
This is a new unit I purchased from a lost freight company. I have no paperwork and I can not seem to find anything that tells me if I can set the run time on the top side. The old unit was completely adjustable by holding down the light button. Thank for your reply.

Re: Balboa vs501z circulating pump control
Check the circ pump dip switch. It may be trying to run the heat with a non-existent pump. I think on this unit the switch bank is inside on the circuit board, and the circ pump is #5. Check inside the cover of the pack to check.
