The spa had been unpowered for 2 months. after I had filled it I reprogrammed the time, sequence, temperature etc. All worked fine. I then tried to lock the control panel with the normal sequence (ICON, ICON, PROGRAM). This did not work and now the controls are more or less locked in a very funny way. I can't turn on any jets or the light and I can't change the temperature. I cannot unlock it in any way - neither ENTER nor PROG has any effect. The only thing that happens is that the display text (it only shows the water temperature) turns 180 deg if I press Jet1 (or jet2) three times in a row.

The spa warms to the right temperature and the jets go on for the daily cycles but I cant control anything at all. I have tried removing power and restarting from scratch, but I think that the built-in backup battery prevents the computer from starting froma "fresh" condition.

I am assuming that the computer has somehow gotten into a strange mode and would like to give it a completely "fresh" start.
How can I reset the computer completely? There is no obvious reset button on the computer board - and the control panel reset (ICON, ENTER, PROGRAM) does not work of course.

I actually left the spa unpowered for two weeks in the hope that the backup battery would become discharged, but no luck. Does anybody know how long that would take?

Any other thoughts on how I can get this thing to work?
