| Sundancer 800 electrical problems? |
its a 91 or 92 sundancer serenity 800 i think it is the control pannel and the control box. some of a buttons work like air bubbles, temp up down,mode,display...none of the jets 1 or 2 works when i push the buttons on the control pannel but all of a sudden all of the jets and spa light will turn on and i have to go kill the breaker for the spa to stop then switch it back on and the spa is fine i know its not the jets 1 and 2 not workin becuse they work fine when the spa trips out. i think its the control center box and the pannel?
also the pump runs fine to curculate the water heater works fine too its just every so often it seams like it trips on and turns on everything and i cant shut it down with the pannel i have to hit the breaker off and on
after i get it all stoped i feel the pump motors n they both feel warm so they must be working |

You either have crud on the circuit board that's causing this software malfunction, or... squirrels or mice or something like that could've chewed through the control cables to your topside control panel(s).
You need to either clean up the board, and/or search for damage to the cables.
Otherwise, call a tech that has sundance expertise.
You may also have a bad circuit board, or topside control panel altogether. |

Be very careful with homeowners insurance on spas/hot tubs.
You want to be sure that the insurance company, (which is not an insurance company, but a 'warranty' company which is not the same rules as insurance), deals directly with a technician that
1. knows what they're doing,
2. can deal with the warranty company directly.
Doing this situation 'their way', can cost you less. but if you do it 'your way', thru here and purchasing parts, you more than likely will end up holding the bag for the entire expense.
If you purchased a 'warranty', then let them do it all. Start to finish. |

i went to my property today turned on the breaker and everything turned on once again i open the cabnet doors to stop all the pumps then close it and the lo speed pump turns on to curculate the water now none of the buttons work on the control pannel. so i am gettin a tech out to fix it just thought id add that i hope its what i think it is. also the curcit board looks like brand new not a thing on it and the cable i cant see any signs of damage on the cable. |
