| problem with Vita Spa Duet |
Greetings,
I have a Vita Spa Duet with a problem. After a power failure that lasted a few days I went and and reset the GFI button to turn the spa back on. The control panel lit, displayed the temperature of 54 degrees, but the pump would not turn on. I opened the panel and popped the cover off of the circuit board box that sits on the pump/heat exchanger. One LED is flashing, the other is steady. I replaced the fuse and the pump still will not engage. Any clue where I may look for the solution to the problem? Thanks Much! Alan |

Re: problem with Vita Spa Duet
Suspect its the circ pump causing this prob with your hot tub. If this fails, the heater will overheat almost instantly, and the spa will enter an error state. Is there any sign ot the circ pump working? |

Re: problem with Vita Spa Duet
No, the pump is not working at all. The panel lights, the circuit board is recieving electricity, and the fuse is good. Not a thing from the pump itself. I contacted the vendor, and the repair person said he thought it may be the pump, but wanted a good deal of money just to come out and look at it. |

Re: problem with Vita Spa Duet
options: 1) make sure the temperature setting is higher than 54 f 2)its more than likely the water sensor is not good. 3) if the pump soes not turn on at all it needs to be replaced. |

Re: problem with Vita Spa Duet
Just replaced my pump and have the same issue. The pump comes on for 10-15 secs and pumps just a little from one jet then shuts off. No error codes show up. Any ideas? |

Re: problem with Vita Spa Duet
i think is settings. duet doesnt have a heater; it haas that coil wrap around the pump. your pump should look like the one in the pic.
it can be the water sensor. |

Re: problem with Vita Spa Duet
Fixed mine by checking the volts/amps with a Kill A Watt device. Was pulling volts down 100V and amps up to 21A. Used different circuit and shorter extension cord to get to 106V and 13 A and now everything works |
