2003 D1 Californian "low flow error"

Hello, A newbie here looking for some advice from the board.

I have a D1 spa. Last week I started hearing a knocking noise and noticed that the stream of bubbles that flow into the tub when not in use, was starting and stopping. Now it does nothing. no noise, no stream. The main jets fire up, both speeds, but I get a "Low Flow Error" message on the control panel. I'm sure its out of warranty by this time, but I remember a tech came out and replaced I think a flow switch? Looking for paperwork now. Any help from the board would be appreciated.

Mark

Re: 2003 D1 Californian "low flow error"

Hello,

Did you get any reponse here? I am having a similar issue with my 2003 Chairman II hot tub.... althought I never heard a knocking noise.

A few weeks ago I also received that Low Flow Error. I found when I turn the tub off for an hour or so, and turn it back on the error will go away for several days... but it keeps coming back. When running, the tub works great. The circulation pumps seems to be running fine as it blows hot water into the tub with bubbles while heating, but it eventually always seems to cut off with that Low Flow issue.

As a result, I went out and bought new filters... the error came back.

I then installed a new flow switch... the error came back.

Do you guys think I need to replace the circulation pump next?? I hesitate because it seems to work fine for days at a time and then cuts off.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Jeff
