| Bought a house with a spa problem... |
hello. i am a newbie here, but i have done what i can thus far.
let me start by saying that the first day with the keys to my first home ever...my included outdoor spa worked fine.(of course)... then the "flo" error occurred. i looked it up online and pulled the filter first, still showing flo.
then i saw that someone had theirs work on low jets, so i set it there, and no flo error. i found a online manual, and adjusted the pressure switch, but now the jets wont turn off when i push the button. okay, so i had it heating, but i was working it with the gfci breaker, when i wanted to get in it way later.
now i am to a point where i need to get it running or winterize it...
what i know: coleman powerworks spa 1991 install, balboa control, model unknown(300 ca?), barksdale p.s. pump is running, found it looking for pressure switch, thats about the extent of my spa knowledge.
any and all help is appreciated. thanks in advance.
*edit: it seems to be working okay since i adjusted the pressure switch, turns off at temperature and no flo error since then. the economy setting seems to turn the jets off, is this normal operation? |

Re: Bought a house with a spa problem...
i haven't gotten the flo error since i edited my first post. i went to artesian spa outlet, and talked to a guy there. he recommends i drain it, get a new filter, fill it and throw chlorine in there, sound about right? |

Re: Bought a house with a spa problem...
i'm in the same boat. I've got a used (2000) 103 coleman delivered two days ago. I turned mine on and it's like on high all the time. By the time it reached temp. it gave me a " FL " error. That's the flow valve (according to the manual). It says to look for an obstruction and call a tech. If I try to put the jets on or off, it bogs down and turns the jets off. A few seconds later, it trys to turn them on again and repeats. I've been operating it with the GFCI switch too.
I'll let you know of any advancements I'm able to make. |
