| Caldera kauai OH message |
Hi,
Im getting a flashing OH message on my 2001 Caldera Kauai.
From the info I found here I took out filter and the pump and heater will kick on and work fine for awhile then all stops and error message comes on again. Its starting to get cold here in northern Nh and the nearest service dealer is 2 hrs away.
Ive fixed just about everything in my house and cars myself and would really like to repair this tub myself with a little help from some one I would really appreciate any info.
Thanks in advance. |

Look to see if you have a small circulation pump that feeds the heater.
If so, then it's either clogged or going bad - or already pretty much is. |

If not then probably a bad hi-limit or control sensor. |

I took out circ pump and cleaned it out,had a very little hair in the impeller
also looked at sensor above circ pump and notice it has a adjustment knob on itWhat does this adjustment do?
Any way put it all back together and started it.
Circ pump starts up and circulates and heater comes on for 10 or 15 minutes, then either I get a flo message or OH message.
Should I buy new sensor first?,and see if thats it,then go from there.
Again thanks for the reply's. |

is the heater hot to touch when it goes into OH?
leave that other thing alone for now, it's the pressure switch. |

I just reset gfi and will let you know if it is hot when it goes into OH mode. |

I'd say your circ pump isn't doing it's job considering you were previously getting a flo and/or oh msg. It's 6 years old and gets more wear and tear than anything on the tub. I'd replace it.
(You could replace the sensor first and give that a try, but my bet is still with the circ pump). |

Could you give me a link to where I could find that and circ pump on your website to buy?

No I was referring to the high limit sensor.
