D1 Californian spa w/flow message
Hello, Hoping to get some guidence. My spa D1 spa has the message "Low Flow error" on the digital display board. Also, no heat and not getting the little stream of bubbles like we usually do. The dealer came out a couple of years ago and replaced the flow switch (warranty). Can anyone steer me in the right direction as far as steps to narrow down the problem? Really don't want to call for service if I don't have to. Thanks in advance for your time,
Mark

Re: D1 Californian spa w/flow message
I think you may have a bad heat circulation pump, that would cause the flow error along with the no bubbles and heat. This pump is a small one probably between your larger 2 circulating pumps. You will have to remove the screws and the access panel if you haven't yet. I just bought a 2000 D1 spa and they said the circ pump was intermittent so I took it apart and the inlet to the impeller was plugged with debris and since I cleaned it out I haven't had any problems with it. I have had the best luck finding the manuals at http://int.d1spas.com/downloads.asp and you can find parts on there also but you may want to shop around some for the pump. It is probably a Laing pump and there are a couple different ones but there is the E10 universal one which seems pretty common now. I did just buy quite a few parts from a I think newer supplier and their prices were I thought very good and I got the parts quick and just what I ordered. Here is a link to what may be the pump at their site.

Hope this helps and good luck,

Re: D1 Californian spa w/flow message
Thanks for the reply. Just now getting the time to check it out. How would I check to make sure that the circ. pump is bad?

Re: D1 Californian spa w/flow message
Okay, I unplugged the flow switch @ the board and jumped the two pins. The heater turned on " title="Very Happy" /> and started to get bubbles from the circ. pump but then stopped. Will pull the pump next. Would the flow switch be bad? it was just replaced 2 years ago..
Thanks
