I'm having an issue for the first time with my 2002 Dimension 1 Dream HP. As always, I drained it for the summer back in June, and refilled it yesterday. It appeared to "boot up" normally, and I basically ignored it knowing that it would take quite a while to heat from 50 to 101 degrees.
The power went out for a bit this morning due to a blown transformer down the road. (I am not sure if this had anything to do with my issue or not.) However, I did notice after the power came back on that the pumps were running continuously. I checked the unit and found three dots that I had never seen before flashing. After a brief conversation with the closest dealer, I tried the standard stuff like pulling the filter and bleeding the pumps for air, but no luck thus far. Here's what happens: 1. Turn power on to the unit, control panel activates, temp setting goes to factory default, three dots flashing rapidly. 2. Pumps cycle as usual and begin to run, pace of flashing dots decreases. 3. Tub heated as high as 99 degrees, but won't go any further. 4. Dots seem to flash no matter what, only the pace of the flashing varies.
I've never had any trouble with it before. My last conversation with the dealer pointed toward a Flow sensor, but I'd sure appreciate someone else's opinion before I forge ahead and order that. if anyone has experienced this sort of thing and has a moment to share, i would be most appreciative.
