FLO error, but why so soon

Hi all, I have read some of the posts on here, but did not find anything quite like my issue. I have a Sundance Optima 880, bought new in early August. I started getting FLO errors about early September (5 weeks after install). So I noticed the filter was pretty dirty already, so I replaced it with a new and the problem went away. Last night (5 weeks later) again, I noticed the FLO error is back. The filter is not that dirty by sight, but should these filters clogg up so fast and is this a normal occurance? We use the tub every night for a two cycles. I have two teenagers and a wife which use this religiously. One more point, I changed the water the same day I put in the new filter, so the water is only 5 weeks old. I run 3/4 Bromine tablets each week, and use shock out weekly. Last night I added PH down to the water because it was really high. That is about it, other then adding water to the tub when it get low. Any ideas? I mean these filters are expensive, I hope I don't have to spend $100 every 5 weeks to replace it. Help! <img src=" title="Rolling Eyes" /> Thanks in advance for your help!

Have the dealer check for an out of calibration flow or pressure switch, provided the flow is acceptable.

Will do

Got the call into the dealer service rep. Thanks for the advice.

Do you have any idea how long those filters should last, even with pretty heavy use? Two cycles each night for six nights a week.

Filter change every month...

Marty,

Are you using the microfilter, which is $100 a piece? Dang, tha can get expensive. Anyway, I have the service guy coming out tomorrow to check the error out. I am curious to see what he diagnoses.

Resolution to Flow Errors

The service tech came out and verified that the filter wa sin fact clogged up prematurley. I guess they have been seeing this problem pretty frequently since Sundance started using these micro-filtration filters. He recommneded I go back to the older style (smaller eats) style filter - 488, as this causes less problems and should last 6 months easily.

So I went returned my old filter in under warranty, since this was # 2 filter in the last 3 months. I am good to go for now. I will try and report back in a few months on the life of this filter versus the other.

Thanks guys!
