| Low pressure from jets |
Hi There, I'm a newbie here and a rookie with fixing hot tubs.
I just picked up a used 2002 Down East Providence Spa.
It runs on 220 it has one pump with low and high speed.
It is a balboa control system (light leader board).
I'm having trouble with low pressure form the jets.
I can hear the motor run in low and high. The high setting has the pressure of a garden hose.
The jets are open, some are even missing so they are open.
The filter is removed, still low pressure.
I suspected possible debris clogging the impeller or a broken impeller.
Its not that. I thought possibly a broken slice valve. Those seem fine.
Any suggestions on what to check next? Could the circuit board need replacing? Can that effect the pressure?
Thanks Ted |

Replace the missing ones and your pressure should return. Your system is wide open with missing jets - same logic akin to having a broken water main on your street and your house has very little pressure. |
