| New spa pack, same flo message! update |
Here we go again, more flo problems! I searched through all the treads and posts on this site and no one is having the same problem I am. Here is the story. I have a 5-6 year old nordac warrior tub. It worked fine from day one no problems ever until right before winter. Then the pump would start its normal filter mode and instead of running for about 5 minutes, it would rapid fire start stop. Sometimes it would start and stop 30 times in 2 minutes. At that point you could go out and start the pump, put it to high and it would perform fine. It even held the heat at 102 all winter. So the only problem was the annoying start/stop that seemed to happen all the time and becoming more frequent. Spring came around and the flo errors started with the start\stop so I tried a new flo switch, didn't help so I had a service tech from the place I bought the spa come out to look at it. For $100 he wiggled a couple of pieces on the circuit board and he said I needed a new spa pack $800.00. I said no I'll do it myself later, so I drained the tub and left it sit for a few months while I refinished the deck underneath it. Three weeks ago I ordered a new spa pack. Gecko s series with all the same hook ups as my old spa pack. I hooked it all, filled the tub through the top filter hole and loosened the unions by the pump to make sure I had no air pockets up and guess what... flo message. I've never felt more worthless. I'm running it on 220, the pump will turn on low and push water for about 5 seconds and flip the flow message and immeddiately shut down then I hear some relays clicking. I can't even get this things to go to hi speed. I feel like The spa pack wasn't the problem in the first place. I played with the flo switch, jumped it etc no real change just 5 seconds of running and then the shut down. It does circulate water well for those 5 seconds. The pump seems kinda of noisey now I pulled that out and the bearings are squeaking when I turn it with my fingers. So I had the pump rebuilt, Also I put on a new topside control unit. Oh yah I also already tried a new filter and no filter same result. I need some help! Any ideas would be helpful. |
