I have a sweetwater spa, not sure exact year or model, but I had a motor going bad, making a lot of grinding noise, I took it in, they told me it was a bearing going bad and I needed a new pump motor, they kept the wet end in tact except for a new seal. I put the new pump in, wired it wrong on accident and blew a fuse. Realized the error, put in a new fuse, and now it always shows FL2 flow error even though water comes out through the low speed pump, whenever I switch it to High speed, the pump makes a horrid noise and the system stops dead w/ a FL1 error, both flow errors. If I leave it on low it always has the FL2 error. Water flow seems low, but in all this maintenance, between pump changes etc I ran a jet cleaning solution through so it should be cleaner and more flow not less right? Is there really a flow problem, or do I have an issue w/ the control board caused right before the fuse blow out?

Well since you made the wiring error initally,
I'd like to make a guess that you've made a secondary wiring error as well.

Your pump motor common line isn't correct - that is - the white wire, should go to the pump common terminal - which can be confusing but you must follow the motor label in all respects.

Red and Black are your high and low speeds - white is always common to both of those.

Don't do anything else until you are 100% sure your motor common line is where it's supposed to go. Otherwise, post a digital close up of the motor label, and one of the back of the pump motor. We'll do the best we can with what you submit.

Otherwise, IMO, you're toast.

Yeah I understand your meaning, but the reason I did it incorrectly was that the spa person that gave us the pump literally said "you can reconnect it identically to the way it was before" and I had taken a picture and replicated it. This was not correct. I know now that we have the wiring right, but I'll get a photo for completeness and attach it. The picture on the side shows 2 as common and 3 and 4 as high and then low speeds respectively. We do now have these all wired right, but I'll get photos and post those as well shortly.

Ok these pics aren't the greatest, but I'll be able to explain what you're seeing in a way that should explain it. The first picture is the outside diagram, its almost illegibile but there are three lines: they're labelled: 2. common line 3. high speed 4. low speed. here it is: then the blurry picture of the actual connectors, you should be able to see the colors well, but not read the numbers mentioned above, but I can confirm that the numbers are from upper right to lower left: 2, 3, 4 So I've hooked white to 2, red to 3 and black to 4. This also matches on the control board's listed info, the low speed pump connections on the board show black and white and the high is red. Let me know if this seems to make sense. Ahh well I didn't see any errors at all when I posted it, so I thought it would be fine, the information on the help on picture sizes said the limit was 8Mb... these are between 300 and 400k, but I've got them linked to my site anyway... I just didn't know what me hitting add attachment w/ nothing shown and no error meant.

Anyway, I've got the description above if anyone knows anything else I could look at?

You may want to do a voltage test to determine that you're getting full power to the pump motor...

Yes the motor runs at low speed, as mentioned in the first post, the motor give a very loud noise as soon as it is switched to high power, and shuts down. The pump was since removed, as it is brand new, and tested at the store we bought it from, they said three separate techs tested it and both low and high speeds work fine. From their point of view the pump has zero defects. I re attached it correctly, perform the same steps and get the exact same failure. I can leave it running on low, and get constant flow error fl2, but it works, when I got high speed it fails.

If that's true, then your low speed relay has welded itself closed.

IE, when you switch to high, the low speed relay should open. It's not, so the pump is getting both high and low speed at the same time - which is a disaster for a two speed pump motor.
