| VitaSpa Selectron 200 FLO error |
Greetings!
I'm currently renting a house with a VitaSpa Selectron 200. Last fall we used the spa with a "FLO" message, but it still managed to eventually start up, heat, and get jets and blowers flowing. Didn't think much about it and thought I'd just get a new filter next season (since there was a filter icon on the display). Worked great honestly!
Fast forward to last week. Decided to get the spa ready for this season so I thought I'd see if everything was at least in half-decent running order. Plugged in the GFCI to yet another "FLO" message and a grumbling from the pump. I pull off the covers and notice it's definitely coming from the motor or the turbine looking thing.
I also read that some wires could be corroded, so I opened up the circuit board to see everything mint as the day it was installed. I did notice, however, that the ozone converter was unplugged for whatever reason. Don't think that should be any issue though.
I'm currently in the process of draining it to give it a nice scrub and clean water. The spa was covered through the entire down time. My best guess is the "turbine thingy" is frozen and the motor cannot turn it, causing it to heat up and obviously cause the "FLO" issue (due to no pressure in the lines). This is coming of course from a college kid with absolutely no knowledge of spas except they are awesome to relax and drink in. I do have some intermediate knowledge of car engines and that's the best I could surmise. Any knowledge would be excellent! Thanks in advance!
