| display lights lfashing and no heat |
About a month ago I came home from vacation and my Dimension 1 spa model Seville had a problem. 3 lights were flashing on the display (jets, lamp and heat) and the spa would not heat anymore. Also there was a scrolling message on the display to clean filters and try power cycling the unit. I cleaned filters and replaced water and cycled unit several times but am getting the same issue. The spa is only a few years old and been well maintained. Are there some easy things I can check before calling out a serviceman at a minimum $70 visit charge.
thanks, |

try leaving the spa disconnect off for 30 minutes and try again, sometimes that is all it takes. |

It's telling you your filters are dirty. It does this when the pressure/switch or flow/switch doesn't detect enough pressure.
To reset the system, hold down the d-1 icon on the topside for about 5 seconds. Turning off and on won't clear the error message. |

Acording to the D1 user's manual, that error states that something is wrong, not dirty filters. The manual says to check the temperature to see if it's above 104 degrees, check the water level, and clean the filter, to see if any of those may be contributing to the error. It is pointing to a possible sensor error. It says to power off at GFCI breaker, then back on, to reset the tub. If a problem still persists, to call for service.
According to the manual, the dirty filter warning will actually read "DIRTY FILTERS REMOVE FILTERS & CLEAN IN SOLUTION... PUSH AND HOLD ICON BUTTON MORE THAN 3 SECONDS TO RESET THIS MESSAGE". |

@Charger-he's getting a dirty filter message-.
If he has adequate flow, then we know there's something else wrong, either the flow/switch or press/sw, or possibly circuitboard ot harness.
The indication he has, hower, is indeed a dirty filter indication (3 flashing lights) as well as the actual scroll, which he is getting as well.
Also there was a scrolling message on the display to clean filters and try power cycling the unit
If he hasn't re-set the system, the error code will not clear, hence why he needs to clear it first, and see if it re-appears.
If it re-appears without the filters in place, call for service, you have an issue.
Good luck!

Ok, I guess the manual for the spa is probably incorrect in how to deal with that sort of error. Good thing you cleared that up. |

Thanks for the info
I did try running the spa without filters, so while something may be partially clogged, it's not the filters causing the message. I left it powered down overnight also and still immediately to the flashing lights. I will try holding the D1 button down for 5 seconds to see if that fixes anything, but i Think something else may be wrong. The message seems to indicate a blockage or problem with heater. Is there something i can take apart to flush the system or check for blockage? I do have good flow from the jets just no heat.
thanks again |

blockage would be quite rare. More likely a press/sw or flow/sw failure, of circ. pump failure.
Have you checked your circ pump flow? |

Im not sure how to check the pump circ flow |

Are you aware of where the circ. pump (this is the small, silent pump that runs virtually in obscurity, not to be confused with the much larger jet pump) return jets are located? If your spa is equiped with an ozone generator, do you still see bubbles like you used to? |
