1995 Grandee tripping breaker
I picked up a used 95 Grandee and have all the wiring hooked up correctly. All pumps work as they should the 2-speed circ pump even switches to hi when the heater is turned on. Now the problem... when the heater is turned up the i hear the click from the relay in the pannel and the gfci instantly tripps also. I am assuming the heater is shot. Is there any specs for a ohms reading across the power lines of the heater? I want to do all i can to make sure it is the heater before I drop $250 on a new heater. This heater is a no fault 6000 the one that looks like a black box. Besides the heater tripping the gfci everything works good.
Thanks for any help!
Darren

Re: 1995 Grandee tripping breaker
Ohms should read 9.8 across the black and white leads but you want to check between one of the leads (black or white) and the green ground lead. It should read open if the heater is good, anything else and the heater is bad.
